NCC AT CALGARY INTERNATIONAL!
We’re excited to announce that Kyle Thomas’ new short film The Post will have its World Premiere at the Calgary International Film Festival later this month. Kyle has built a strong relationship with CIFF over the past few years, having premiered two previous films at the festival and earning the award for Best Alberta Short in 2011 for his film Not Far From The Abattoir. We are also excited that CIFF will be presenting Cameron Macgowan’s film Liebe, a side project produced through Awkward Silencio Films with his colleague Rhett Miller.
Furthermore, Kyle Thomas and Cameron Macgowan will be panelists at an industry workshop at the festival: “Micro Budgets: Yes, We Did It For That Little”, Saturday September 28th 11:30am-1:00pm @ The Ramada. This event will debate methodologies for producing feature films with micro-budgets in contemporary Canadian cinema.
