NORTH COUNTRY CINEMA GOES TO CANNES!

We’re very excited to announce that Telefilm Canada will be presenting BOTH of North Country Cinema’s 2011 films at Cannes this year. Alexander Carson’s “We Refuse To Be Cold” and Kyle Thomas’ Not Far From The Abattoir have both been selected for the Not Short On Talent section of Telefilm’s Perspective Canada screenings on May 22 and May 23 at the Palais des Festivals in Cannes.

Kyle, Sandy, and Cameron Macgowan will all be traveling to the south of France to proudly rep these films at the world’s most important film event, and to take in some of what the coming year holds for international cinema. This will be a great opportunity for North Country Cinema to share our work with new audiences, and to make connections within the international film community that will help us grow in the future.
