Alexander Carson’s 2009 film “Last Communication with Laura” has been selected by the East End Film Festival in London, England, to screen as part of its 10th Anniversary celebration. Last year, in April 2010, Sandy received a Canada Council grant to attend the festival in support of LCWL’s European premiere. Unfortunately, the Icelandic volcano fiasco of that spring made air travel at that time impossible. Although Sandy won’t represent at this year’s festival either, the outstanding honour of being selected for the EEFF’s prestigious 2011 retrospective screening series on May 2 is an excellent consolation prize.  And if you haven’t yet seen “Last Communication With Laura”, it is posted here in its entirety. Enjoy!
