WRTBC AT PARAJANOV RETROSPECTIVE

We are excited to announce the inclusion of Alexander Carson’s 2011 film “We Refuse To Be Cold” in a new screening series at the J.A. de Sève Cinema at Concordia University in Montreal. “Allegory, Folktales, and Poetics of Soviet Cinema in the Work of Sergei Parajanov” will present films by the under-recognized Soviet-Armenian filmmaker with guest lectures and thematically relevant contemporary short films between Jan 19 and Feb 16, 2013.

This screening series is curated by Marcin Wisniewski, and is produced by the FOFA Gallery at Concordia. Sandy’s film will open for Ashik Kerib (screening on 35mm) on the afternoon of Saturday Feb 9 at 2 pm.
