First: Alexander Carson and Kyle Thomas acted as “guest curators” for this year’s International Shorts Program. Selecting the best content from major festivals over the past two years, they have compiled an exciting and innovative program of short films that will screen in Calgary for the first time. This event will take place at the Globe Cinema on Sunday June 23 at 3:30 pm. Please come out to see these amazing films!

Second: Carson and Thomas will present an Artist Talk / Workshop at the festival, covering topics such as personal and regional filmmaking practices, and balancing creative goals with financial restraints in moving image production. Admission to this event is extremely limited – by RSVP only – so please confirm attendance with the festival ASAP: Central Park Memorial Library, Saturday June 22 @ 2:00 pm.
