CBC TELEVISION ACQUIRES WRTBC

North Country Cinema is entering the world of broadcast television in collaboration with CBC/Radio Canada! Alexander Carson’s 2011 film “We Refuse To Be Cold” has been acquired for the forthcoming program “Absolutely Quebec/Absolutely Canadian”, which will air nationally later in 2012, beginning with a Quebec region only broadcast on Saturday September 1 at 7 pm E.S.T. To launch the program, CBC is partnering with Armatta gallery in St-Henri–the same Montreal neighbourhood featured in both “We Refuse To Be Cold” and Sandy’s forthcoming film Braids (2012). A vernissage and screening will be held on Thursday July 19 at 9 pm, 3255 rue St. Jacques. More details about future broadcast dates coming soon!
