NCC WINS 3 AWARDS AT SLED ISLAND!

We’re thrilled to announce that North Country Cinema’s two films in competition at this year’s Sled Island Festival in Calgary both won awards on Wednesday night! Kyle Thomas’ Not Far From The Abattoir received Best Narrative and Best Short, while Alexander Carson’s “We Refuse To Be Cold” received the Award For Innovation. Though neither Kyle nor Sandy were able to attend, Abattoir’s producer Cameron Macgowan and production manager Sara Corry accepted on Kyle’s behalf, and Sandy’s brother Benjamin Carson accepted on behalf of WRTBC. We are very grateful to Sled Island for their wonderful support, and to the festival’s audience who came out to see the work!
